Dean 28.12.18 – Christmas present trike ride
Dean’s Christmas present trike ride was a hit! Craig picked him up from Leichhardt in the inner west and drove him over the ANZAC Bridge. It is the longest cable-stayed span bridge in Australia and is so impressive, we love it! It is hard to believe it is 23 years old.
Next bridge was the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. They stopped at Jeffrey Street Wharf, Kirribilli (on the north side) for photos. It is a good place to stop because of the beautiful views across Sydney Harbour towards the Opera House and the city.
They continued onto the lower north shore suburbs which led them to the inner west. Next bridge was the Gladesville Bridge which has lovely views across Parramatta River to the Harbour Bridge. A perspective which most people don’t get to see. The Gladesville Bridge leads onto a main arterial road Victoria Road. They stayed on it for a short time before turning off to follow part of the Bay Run.
The Bay Run is a 7 km long shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians that encircles much of Iron Cove and is located in the inner-western suburbs of Sydney. It is a pretty area. The hour went so quickly and Dean had the adventure of a lifetime. The Christmas present trike ride was the best!
