Abby + Noah 22.11.19 – 18th birthday trike tour

18th birthday trike tour

Abby turned 18! What does a dad and mum do to celebrate? Something that is different to the norm? Something that she will remember for ever! An 18th birthday trike tour was the idea and it was a good one.

Craig picked up Abby and Noah on Carrington Street, Wynyard. They live on the northern beaches but Dad thought it would be a bit boring to ride around their ‘backyard’. So they caught a bus to Wynyard.

The Eastern Panorama tour

The Eastern Panorama was the chosen tour. Firstly, they rode through the city and past the Botanical Gardens. Government house is situated in the gardens. The Art Gallery of New South Wales is also on this route. It is such a beautiful building. The Gallery’s first public exhibition opened in 1874.

Mrs Macquarie’s Point

A fantastic view of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge will be found from Mrs Macquarie’s Point. This is close to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair which we will only see if there is time – it is a short walk.

After that, they travelled through Woolloomooloo, past Finger Wharf and the iconic Harry’s Cafe De Wheels. This road leads up into the infamous Kings Cross. It is the red light district of Sydney and it really is interesting.

From here, they rode through the lovely upper class suburbs of Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay and Rose Bay. In addition, the views are lovely as some of the route follows the waters edge of Sydney Harbour.

Watsons Bay and the Gap

Next, was Watsons Bay, mostly made famous because of a fish and chip restaurant. The view across Sydney Harbour is towards Middle Cove ?. Stopping at The Gap nearby is always interesting. The view is wonderful out to the Tasman Sea.

Bondi Beach, Tamarama and Bronte Beaches

Of course, the ride has to go to the famous Bondi Beach. Here you will see the lifeguard tower (and possibly some lifeguards) made famous by the TV show, Bondi Rescue. Tamarama and Bronte Beaches. In addition, there was enough time to ride though Centennial Park, it is a huge parkland.

However, by now time was up so they were dropped off to continue celebrating. In conclusion, the 18th birthday trike tour was a huge success.

This itinerary can be changed to suit your personal requirements if required.
