Helen + John 07.09.19 – northern beaches trike ride
The northern beaches trike ride was on Helen and John’s list of things to do. They are from New Zealand so it was a long list. Three hours seems like a long time but it goes so quickly. After the ride they said: “saw everything we wanted and then some”.
Sydney Harbour Bridge
Brian picked them up from Circular Quay. It is an easy yet central place to pick up but we will pick up anywhere. Helen + John were happy to go anywhere over to the northern side of the bridge. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is an experience in itself, so sit back and enjoy the ride over it.
Balmoral Beach
First stop was Blues Point with its wonderful view over Sydney Harbour to the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Secondly, they rode to the posh Balmoral Beach. Not many visitors to Sydney know about it and it really is worth a look.
Heads – North and South
Continuing on, they rode over the Spit Bridge to the lookout at Balgowlah Heights. They loved the scenery and the view out towards Sydney Heads – North and South. After that, they rode down to the famous Manly Beach and travelled along it. This area has a beautiful coastline, so they rode along quite a lot of it. Past Queenscliff, Curl Curl, Dee Why, Long Reef and Mona Vale beaches for example.
South Pacific Ocean
There is a lookout near Mona Vale hospital so they stopped for a look at the Tasman Sea, part of the South Pacific Ocean. However, time was up so they then headed back to the city. Driving along Wakehurst Parkway is fun, it is lined with trees and the speed limit is slightly higher than the rest of the city.
Back over the Harbour Bridge and back through the city where Brian dropped them off at the Chinese Gardens in Darling Harbour. Helen and John were happy with all the different places they went to and saw.
